Explore The Isle Of Arran

Kim Murdoch

Digital Content & Marketing Manager

I’m the Digital Content & Marketing Manager at ARRAN Sense of Scotland, where I help tell the stories behind our fragrances, products and island heritage. My role spans everything from content creation and campaign planning to email marketing, social media and new product launches. No two days are ever the same, but at the heart of it all is a passion for sharing the beauty and inspiration of our island home with customers around the world

Our minds and bodies instinctively relax when we retreat to nature. What better way to spend the summer than to get outside? Walk, hike, cycle, run or simply enjoy the view. Breathe deeply and slowly… and return rejuvenated. The coastlines, forests and glens inhabiting our island home inspired the creation of our iconic Arran collections. Read on to uncover our top three places to visit on your next visit to Arran, and discover the reason why the island is affectionately known as 'Scotland in miniature'.

A breath of fresh air

On the windswept west coast of Arran lies Machrie. Stroll along the pebble beach, listen as waves break on the shore, breathe in the fresh coastal air… and come alive. As you fill your lungs with crisp, clean air, feel your mind clear, your energies rebalance and inner calm once again return.

The great outdoors

Hike through a wooded glen to Arran’s southeast corner, delighting in the sights, sounds and scents of nature – especially so once you reach the double cascade of Glenashdale Falls. Let the great and green outdoors lift your heart, invigorate your mind and boost your mood.

A little R&R

For those craving something a little less exertive, a short amble through Glen Iorsa and a picnic on the shores of the Loch will be just what you need. With Beinn Tarsuinn and Beinn Nuis in the distance, simply sit back and soak up the serenity of this remote, relaxing and wholly rejuvenating glen.
