To prevent tunnelling, utilise the concept of wax memory. During your very first burn, keep the candle lit until the liquid wax pool reaches the outer glass edge. If tunnelling has already started, place an elegant brass candle topper or photophore over the vessel to trap heat and melt the raised edges.
