We all know that scent is one of the most powerful senses with its ability to evoke memories, even some you didn't know you had. Fragrance has a big impact on the lasting impression you give people so it's important your scent reflects your personality. This is where fragrance layering comes in, of course you can layer with the same scent across different products but for a personal touch we recommend experimenting with different scents... The Art of Fragrance Layering What is it and why should we do it? Simply put, fragrance layering is about building a scent using various different products, however there are 2 different methods. You can opt for creating a strong, lasting scent by showering with your favourite Bath & Shower Gel, followed by locking in moisture with the matching Body Lotion and finishing with a spritz of perfume. Alternatively, you can create a scent that's personal to you by layering different fragrances to create your own scent. This can be done by showering with your favourite scents then choosing a complimenting fragrance as your perfume, or even layering different perfumes together. Which fragrances should be layered? There's no right answer to this question, we encourage you to play with different fragrances and see what works for you! We do have a couple tips that are just some guidelines that may help you choose your personalised scent. We recommend experimenting with fragrances that share a common note, for example rose - which could be found in our After the Rain and Imachar collections. Finding a fragrance that has a rich base note is also a great place to start. Notes of sandalwood, cedar, musk and vanilla are the best foundation scents, allowing you to pick some light and bright top notes to create your perfect perfume. Be sure to apply your richer scents first as they tend to be longer lasting and leave your more delicate scents as a final touch. Discover our Fragrances
