Giving back to our team, customers and our local community is at the heart of what we do. Within a week, our team created 15,000 bars of soap to issue in bags of five per household to ensure all Isle of Arran residents has access to the necessities that will help fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Local residents could collect their FREE soap supplies from our ARRAN Sense of Scotland store at The Home Farm, Brodick, Isle of Arran, KA27 8DD. With the help of Visit Arran, we also delivered to all the local schools and nurseries for pupils and staff on the island. Free soap packs were also available to collect through Bay Stores in Whiting Bay and Camerons in Blackwaterfoot.
To help look after our team, we have also issued each and every member of staff with ‘hand care packs’ to share with families, which include our Ginger & Ginseng Hand Wash and Hand Cream.
Our founder, Janet Russell, said:
“Together with my sons, Andrew & Duncan Russell, and our CEO Kevin Meechan we have been speaking about providing any help we can to our Island community. To that end we will begin immediate production of 15,000 x 25g bars of soap. This soap will be packed in family bags of 5 bars and available free of charge to Islanders. This first production will enable us to create just 3000 bags of soap so we ask that you only take what you need to ensure there is enough for everyone. It’s vital that in times of need we pull together and support our local communities. Given that we’re separated from the mainland, we will do everything we can to help keep local residents safe at this time.”
