Start by taking your ARRAN candle out of its decorative tin. Fun fact: all of our home fragrance tins are crafted from 100% recycled materials and can be easily recycled! 2. Set your candle in a large, well-ventilated area, making sure to keep it away from drafts, heaters, or fans, as these can cause unsightly black marks, also known as sooting, on the glass. For optimal results, we suggest lighting 35cl candles for a duration of two to four hours at a time, allowing the wax to melt all the way to the edges. This practice promotes an even burn throughout the candle's lifespan and helps avoid 'tunneling,' which can leave wax clinging to the sides of the jar and shorten the overall burn time. 2. It's important to extinguish your candle when there's still about 10mm of wax left at the bottom of the jar. This precaution helps prevent the glass from overheating. Did you know...
