After bidding a fond farewell to some of our beloved collections last year, our team took a moment to pause, reflect, and look at what was missing in our fragrance portfolio. The answer soon became clear — we needed a new, luxurious, and sensual addition to complete the story. Fast forward 18 months of meticulous product development, and Island Dusk was born — an intoxicating blend of saffron, jasmine, and Madagascan vanilla, inspired by the golden glow of Kilmory’s woodland twilight. As soon as we experienced the scent for ourselves, we knew we had to create a campaign that felt just as alluring and memorable as the fragrance itself. Capturing a Feeling Through Fragrance and Film Island Dusk isn’t just a scent — it’s an experience. Inspired by the rich, amber-lit canopies and stillness of Arran’s woodlands at dusk, this fragrance evokes a deep sense of mystery, elegance, and sensuality. It’s a departure from our more traditional floral or citrus-led scents — it’s bolder, warmer, and designed to linger. So how do you capture a fragrance that’s all about atmosphere and radiance in a single shot? From Island to Indulgence — Choosing the Perfect Location While the natural beauty of Arran is always our first choice for photoshoots, the Scottish summer had other ideas. Between unpredictable weather and the ever-present midges, we decided to take this shoot indoors — but still stay true to the feeling of Island Dusk. We landed on the stunning Boclair House in Bearsden, just outside Glasgow. The opulent interiors were a dream — and when we found out that their Honeymoon Suite was called The Arran Suite, we took it as a sign. From its sweeping staircase to the copper bathtub and rich gold furnishings, every detail perfectly mirrored the warm, golden tones of the fragrance. A luxurious setting for a truly luxurious scent. Creating the Mood With the location locked in, it was all about storytelling. We transformed the Arran Suite into a glowing, cinematic space where our campaign could unfold — mirroring the golden hour warmth that inspired Island Dusk. The round copper tub, rich velvet textures, and intimate lighting were the ideal match for this sensual fragrance journey. Of course, it wouldn’t be an ARRAN shoot without a little drama — including an accidental smoke detector moment when the steam got the better of us! Thankfully, the team at Boclair House were incredibly kind (and forgiving).
